150 years of Albrecht
On the 150th anniversary of the establishment of a food brand in Germany:
The Edible Flavor Producer Albrecht was started 150 years ago in February 1872 by a well-known chemist and entrepreneur named Dr. Karl Lewis Neumann. Dr. Lewis Neuman is recognized as one of the world’s leading entrepreneurs in the food industry. Dr. Neuman began his studies at the Universities of Leipzig and Heidelberg, and in 1866 he was awarded a chair of chemistry at the University of Heidelberg, which did not last long.
His focus was more on the method and methodology of extracting various spices and flavors from herbs. In February 1872 he registered his company in Dresden under the name of Dr. Al-Neuman. Initially, Dr. Neuman was active in producing canned vegetables, meats and fruits. A year later, in 1873, Neuman set up his own factory to extract flavors and spices from fruits and herbs to complete the supply chain.
Two years later, Neumann became Germany’s leading food and beverage production unit, with a contract to provide long-lasting food and beverage to the Saxony army. With this revolutionary technology, Neuman was able to quickly become the largest food and canned food production plant in Europe by 1880.
The success for Dr. Neuman did not end here, and he continued to work with the production of various powdered sauces, sausage flavors, bakery flavors, food colors and beverage ingredients. In 1886 the El Numens Company produced 100,000 cans of canned cans per day, for which 80 heads of livestock were processed 300 tons of legumes. At that time, the Neuman Company, which was then added to Jean Albrecht, employed 330 people in the canning sector and 300 in the production of cans.
In 1945, the company continued to operate in collaboration with Jean Albreicht and until 1972 it concentrated on flavors. Since 2010 Albreisht Arum was bought by the massive Stern Viol Collection and is still operating after 150 years of its founding at the top of the industry, which is the production of edible flavors.
